Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

What was I thinking - smoke signals?  With all this rain?  :)  I'm trying to find info on the South East coastline, but no luck so far, as far as who has power and who doesn't.  Mary England/maryhassound is near Baltimore MD.  I am about 3hrs north of NYC;  we have a Trop. Storm warning or watch (can't keep 'em straight) for today.  Right now, it's heavy rain and wind, and that's expected all day.

The Hudson River is in our backyard, so fingers crossed it doesn't decide to "come up for a visit!"  But my real concern is friends and family on Long Island NY which is forecast to get the brunt of this - hope LI is still there tomorrow!!!!

Gotta go now and put all of my mail art in a high place!!!  Will check in later if we still have power....thanks for your good wishes!

Possible that Mim and prettylily in Virginia are without power? Can iPhones still work? Probably not. Hope all are safe on the East Coast! Take care and let us know how you are. Irene = Eirini in Greek means: PEACE!

Thanks for your comment, PLP - we may have to send smoke signals, since the power is prolly gonna go out.  Hopefully, Katerina, your Mom is watching over us!

"I feel the earth move under my feet..." that's how the song goes ;-)

'Glad it was "just a tremor"...Mother Nature has a way of reminding us of our position on this earth, eh?
