What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

It's great that you other east coasters are making out ok.  Glad the 3 M's have power.  I am thinking a couple of days for us.  :-(

Storm wasn't too terrible here [Baltimore]. There are like four bajillion people without power in my county but I'm not one of them. My boyfriend is, though. Also, my basement flooded. Other than that the weather is absolutely gorgeous here now and you can't even tell what happened yesterday/last night unless you pass by all the fallen down trees and branches.

Oh no, didn't see Roberto's post. Yes, MABB stay away from trees. We walked the neighborhood just now, hot and humid out, trees on peoples cars and houses. AND a BIG tree down in the little Paradise Park, a sweet little oasis behind houses a few streets down.

Good to hear from the Virginia gals! Stay safe and be careful with the clean-up, too! Hope everyone has electric power now. Back-to-tech! ;-)

Good to hear from you Mim and Sue!

Roberto left a comment on my page - in case u didn't see it, he had no power for 4 days in Puerto Rico!

Still lots of rain and wind here...but we still have power...<knocking on my head, of course - closest wood...I >>>.  I was planning on running around back of the complex to check the river level, but my daughter just called from ATL (where it's hot and dry as a bone) and forbid me doing that.  And she's right.  Apparently, trees come down fast, without warning sometimes.  There is someplace on line I can check the water level....

Hi you guys. We are safe. No power. Trees down, some minor flooding. Have been out and most roads are open. We dodged a big mess. Be safe up north! Our storm lasted almost 24 hours. Hope it is shorter up north.

I'm baaack! Posted yesterday's mail art using my phone but didn't want to use up power on it. Our power was restored by 5 p.m. but didn't connect computers as power was surging. Only damage, lots of leaves down in yard, a big ceramic urn broken, lucky lucky us. Hope others north of us come through okay.

Yes, Mandy, I did get a wonderful rhino-Beef Bones-some-of-those-56-butcher-stamps-from-PA card from you and absolutely love it.  I blogged about it, but evidently did not leave a ty for you on your page - forgive me! But check out my page - the blog post is there somewhere!

I have been remiss about noting some of the mail art received - hopefully will catch up soon.  Glad to hear that the ocean has 65 feet to cover before reaching you, and your butcher stamps!

A little thunder, a little rain, a little wind...That's where we are here, South of Boston,MA. We are right on the edge between hurricane warning and tropical storm warning. Pretty surge the storm surge won't bring the ocean up the 65 feet to me. A good day to create mailart by candlelight if need be.

Hey Mary Alice, Did you get a card from me a while back?
