Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Maab,  glad you are ok!  Having no power actually gave me a chance to read a little.

Here I am, P-lily!  We did a "voluntary evacuation" yesterday, to a Red Cross shelter because the Mohawk River, which joins the Hudson about 1/4 mile north of us, was flooding, and it had covered most of the road in front of our complex.  The Hudson, behind us, had topped its banks.  And the power went out.  The Vischer's Ferry Dam at Lock 7 on the Mohawk was "compromised" and officials feared it would give way, which meant we would have had an excellent opp for body surfing, as the Mohawk rushed through!  We decided to pass on that. (Wahhh!)  We got the all clear this morn, and are home now.  Power back on - hooray!  Can't say enuf about the Red Cross staff - wonderful!

Troy has experienced flooding - Elizabeth and Mr. Palmiter live there....anybody hear from them?

"Waahhh" - don't you just love vocabulary!?  :)

Thanks for thinking of us!!

Fun cat video, mim. Thanks for the
Much needed laugh! We once had a cat that hated the mail gal, so our address card was noted "
Attack cat". He would hiss and intimidate her. The cat has passed on but a friend found a sign that says attack cat!

Me thinks Andy and Elena are away for a long weekend, or they are up-to-their-elbows with a move to a new home? He hasn't posted my mail art since Aug 25...but one day soon, I am sure things will start to show up. No hurry, the cards  are made, they are sent , and several have already arrived. Now to work on "September"!

Mary, good that you have power - yaay!  Bad that basement flooded - booo!  Good luck with that - ugh.  P-lily, wahhh.  I feel for you.  Wishes are being carried to you on the ferocious winds we are having now.  (But rain has stopped - yaaay!)
