I am sending a book off and each person that recieves it will add one page to the story then they pass it on to the next person. Once you have sent it on please note so on this group so that the book never goes back to the same person twice.

Hi Wilma,

I obviously miss a lot on translation because I was surprise by your message. Even though, I just want to tell you that reconsider about the novel (that is not writing yet). I bet Michelangelo and the Pope fight a lot and even hate each other guts... Still, the Sixteen Chapell is a masterpiece and those comments didnt make any shadow on it...
So, lets see how the creativity of all of us shines in the novel... or not!

Baroni is definately one of my all time favourite people, his musical knowledge and CD/record collection is staggering. His mail art output puts us all to shame. Remember 'Mail-art Dada Skank'?Vittore Baroni is the VEC VIP.
And don't be shy Ruud, you IOUMA website is a huge credit to you and a massive asset to contemporary mail-art, you thoroughly deserve every accolade bestowed upon you. Coupled with your mail art interview series your contribution to mail art is undeniable.
CDs to you when I get back home.
By the way, how's your carnival this year? Carnival in Venice is really something spectacular, shame you couldn't make it here. Think about applying for a residency here this time next year. Next weekend carnival in Viareggio, wow I'm a lucky person! This is great!

A good advice Rod. Also very kind of you to give me such a compliment in public. We know eachother for quite some time and have the luck to have met in person too. IUOMA is nothing more than a thought that we are doing about the same: communicate in creative ways. When we focus on that it is ok. Have fun meeting Vittore Baroni. I never met him in person. Judging on how he writes and speaks on his video's he must be a pleasant guy to be with.

Relax Alex, the book will be brilliant and, as it was your concept and project, you may do with it whatever you wish.
It might be wise to consider asking that no-one keep the book for more than a week otherwise those of us who are elderly might never get the chance to participate!

Hail Ruud, wisdom is your companion that's for sure! Last night when reading some of the veiled threats against myself and my niece I, for a moment or two, considered resigning my IUOMA membership with an aim to letting peace return to the choppy waters. Having slept on it and read your comments this morning and also in appreciation of our long term friendship I am now determined to stay and will try to ignore the pathos which unfortunately abounds... but then mail art always had it's share of that. You have truly become a hero Ruud, I take my hat off to you.

i am undecided what to with the book when it has made its trip and is completed , i would not wish to use the comments left on this group as they are no different or more interesting than billions of other comments left on billions of other discussions groups online , the purpose of this group was and still is as ruud said to keep track of the book and to organise the pregression of my project. I feel that we have severely lost track of the original. Please from now on keep this group talk to the subject it is intended for

Hail Medwolf, keeper of the secret logics. The raven/pigeon reference comes from a passage in Helgisaga II (20 years on) an audio drama for 28 voices. I sent Chantal a copy just before I came to Venice. When I am back in Maastricht I will send you a copy of the CD with the hope you will be entertained on those nights in the teepee when there is nothing worth watching on the television.
