IUOMA MOBMA (Museum of Bad Mail Art)

IUOMA MOBMA (Museum of Bad Mail Art)

I frequent thrift stores looking for frames and canvases that I can re-use. I find something sad and intriguing about the handmade art that finds its' way into the donation piles.  As an offshoot of the amazing Museum of Bad Art  (MOBA) http://www.museumofbadart.org/

I am hoping we can assemble a unique collection of the ugliest reject art out there. This can be one you find, something you have made, bad industrial art for the masses, or mail art flunks.  There is beauty in imperfection.

Nella mia città Savona, avrei tanti amici che fanno brutti quadri adatti a questo gruppo ... ma non posso postarli, ovviamente. b

In my city Savona, I would have many friends who do bad pictures suitable for this group ... but I can not post them, of course. b

Movimentare e cambiare i colori a Giotto mi è sembrata una atto di brutta pittura. b

Moving and changing colors to Giotto seemed to me an act of bad painting.

Bene, Bruno, devi andare all'Università di Bad Art e studiare duramente.

Well Bruno, you will have to go to the University of Bad Art and study hard. I had to wake up Google translate. This is so much Fun!

i have been puzzling this question for years. Consequently i found it very difficult to do, Bad Art I mean. Suddenly today I realized I cannot do Bad art not because I cannot geophysically  ( that is to what the spell checker translated my faulty spelling) do it but because I cannot tell bad from good or acceptable. And that is because all my art is Bad! Another profound truth I discovered today is that the badness of the art does not necessarily emanate from its faulty tectonic ( the spell checker again) it can be its schmaltziness (i do not dare to wake up the spell checker) or maudling (same problem ) feeling, here is an example that makes me cringe with shame. Ugh, so tacky.

Hi, DKULT. I am not on Facebook. I am so pleased TRashBo (or TrashBow, or TrashBoo, or TrashBeau - you decide) arrived - I was a bit worried about him and his attire arriving at all, let alone healthy-looking and in one piece. Found that cheerleader hairclip/bow thingy in a parking lot a few months ago.

Finn calls this TrashBo but I think it's a giant BooBerry !
