yes, it is typical that the world know someone quite well, and the people surrounding him don't know what he/she does that well. Happens all the time.
#780 and 781 arrived today on the same date.
Sorry, no time to scan. Lots of other pressing things to do.

An older Brain Cell form - I don't know the number, this one probably was sent in 2002/2003, to the Mail Art Project Bellamatic.

I found it in this book about the Bellamatic project, "Sin otro particular / Yours faithfully':

(and in the book some funny mangling/change of a Dutch first name!..)

Re: Ryosuke Cohen seriously ill.

I heard it from Darlene Altschul. She forward an email from Kaz to John Mountain. Kaz visited Ryosuke in hospital Dec 11.

This was the first I heard about it and assumed you had not known since it had not been mentioned on any of the Mail Art pages.

Colon cancer is serious, the risk of infection from the surgery is great. His smoking habit can make this type of cancer worse.

Two Brain Cells on the same day......
sent Ryosuke a letter to wish him well!
has anyone heard how he is doing?

He did not say how he was, but I just received a new mail art from him at the beginning of this month. I think that means he is fine as he can print a new set of mail art and sent out! (^_~) I am living in the same prefecture as where he lives in Japan.

I just received it today. I remember I found his address on mail-art.de

I didn't know about this brain cell. I got it and I wasn't sure if it was an add and pass thing or why there were so many addresses in it. I have been searching for a while now and just figured it out. Wow. I recognize my stamp, but I can't remember what I sent.

He said it is up to you, if you want to pass thing. That is his idea to make connection to people with art, but he said you can pick who ever you like to send and send Brain Cell or your own mail art... That means you do not need to send to all of them on the list. And it is just also proof of artists whose stamps on the Brain Cell, and where they are coming from.

I forgot that I even sent something to him. I knew the address was familiar and it was one of the first things I sent out. I got his address from mail-art.de  I had no idea that I was contributing to something bigger. I was just sending random things out. I will send to people on the list as I go. Thanks!

Hi, His new version Brain Cell 782, my stamp (a fox) and my address is there, but he read Kanji character wrong from what I sent, so he translate in English wrong spelling. Here is my right address. If anybody pass along Ryosuke Cohen or your own mail art, please send me, I may not be able to write back soon though....

If I have time, I will scan the 782 and post IUOMA.

Thanks.
