Run before it evaporates and we are left with nothing at all - from David Stafford

Another David Stafford, yeey! When I got the card I thought it was about David running to the post office with a letter, or running home from the post office (with a letter as well, obviously). Well it's not exactly like that. The card is part of a sketch he made for Helder Coehlo Dias' poster. After this it is a bit hard to follow the story. He's running toward some box, but not the PO box. He is actually counting money and has to run before it evaporates, but he might also be a cranky bookbinder :-))
I like the back of the card a lot, the colors are so well matched. Chair or cape is classic David Stafford (I'll go for cape), And the story told inside the speech balloon is very Staffordian too. At work with a pen (or feather) in one hand and a pencil in the other. Yes, that's pretty much David as we know him.
Thank you for yet another gem in my D.S. collection, I love it!

There's a wonderful flickr site that's just mail boxes from around the world. I'd been looking at them for Helder's piece. So I guess I got obsessed with the red mail totems. That's the only connection I can think of.

Has this got something to do with ViZma's released beach red boxes too?

Thank you David san. I don't know that film but if it is so highly recommended I will try to find it. And I saw it won a prize at the Cannes festival as well. I will let you know...

Thanks, Marie. I loved the piece I saw on Cheryl's blog site of yours. I immediately thought "Kwaidan!" And if you don't know what that means then you need to go and rent it immediately. I mean, like before I finish this sentence. One of the most artfully conceived movies of all time and it's all ghost stories. See it and we'll discuss.
