Careful there RudeGal!

It's just one of those things, when musicians find out I'm Bob Wills' grandson, they tend to flip out; & admire me as much as I do them.

RudeGal,

I hadn't mentioned it before, because I didn't want to be one of those 'name droppers'. We used to have Star Wars marathons with them & the Toadies at my buddy Sean's house.

I'm afraid that one was a little over the top but I'm glad you liked it...Don't know if you're always rooting around the internet for imagery like I am but if you haven't been there, the Library of Congress has a wonderful archive of historical imagery, a lot of it in the public domain. That zeppelin picture came from there. Some of it is not the best photography but there are wonderfully strange architectural collections. Abandoned buildings, office spaces, prisons...all with a certain freshness by virtue of their being sequestered in the vaults.

I played Trumpet for 8 years, & even though I'm a huge DeadHead, Ska is like a second language to me.  =)

In High-School we used to go see them open for the Toadies on Friday nights, then go back on Saturday night for the same show, except the Toadies would open on Saturdays. It was at the restuarant/club called 'Mad Hatter's" on Magnolia in Ft.Worth. I can easily say that saw them 60+ times in HS. One night the Bouncing Souls opened for them, that was INSANE!

Keep on Skankin'!

Howdy Rude Girl,

I'm glad you enjoyed the Grown-Ups card! I realize it shoud've probably been more two-tone than psychedelic, but I already had it finished & was going to send it to you anyway. I'll have to whip up something more ska themed for ya sometime this week.

(Oh, I still have their 'Rampage' CD, if you'd like a copy.)

A mailart soiree in Paris would be right up my alley! I love to travel too, Ideally I would be traveling half the year.

SF is fantastic -- and yes, you should visit! We do have fabulous Chinese food and all kinds of good things. But I adore Paris and have been many times (overdue for a visit now). Love the old cahiers and postcards and stamps....and a mailart pal just sent me mail with a bunch of french stamps all over it she bought at the Office Depot in Paris. I am so jealous.

Hi Jen, so glad it got to you so quickly.  It is the result of my laminator eating my art.  It came out as an accordian, which looked cool, but unmailable, so I had to iron it flat. De Villo will be receiving my botched attempt at home lamination--not recommended!!!  (but still really fun)  Art on!

YAY :-) Mona Lisa said she was not responsible for all the book burnings. I have to find out from you HOW you personalised your page??? I'm certain it was easy - but being JUST about computer illiterate means .... I dont know how - tips???
