Glad you liked it - a packet went in the mail tuesday or wednesday to you with some more art goodies.
BBQ well, actually, I used to say that Oklahoma had better BBQ but now I am not sure. I grew up in Florida and ours was sweet and up here there is a lot of tart. But we usually get it once a week because my other half could mainline on sauce.
yeah, I kept wanting to get back to that forbidden fruit but the narrative had other plans for it...next time...a true fairy tale....
This one I wrote at my mom's house at my dad's woodworking bench...that was pretty wonderful...he's been gone since 1992 but it just felt right to be there with my rubber cement etc....
re: Pens...I fell in love with rapidographs a million years ago...then I switched to the disposable ones....now I'm hooked on the dip pens though as you know they tend to leave blobs unexpectedly...which isn't the worst thing....
Every time I glance over at the most recent card you sent, I have to stiffle insanely loud laughter at the Pink Freud image. The first time I saw it I actually had to pinch my nose to prevent Dr.Pepper from escaping my nostrils & ruining the card.
I always forget how quickly mail art moves when it's just across town, having only mailed that card on Tuesday. The leopard print was a happy accident, in that the paintbrush I was using had dried in that shape. After seeing the result & contuining the pattern, I knew that I just HAD to send it to you. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I'd hoped.
Jen--I sent that out to you before I knew you weren't coming but you're right. SF will be here and so will you. In the meantime, you can plan....Happy to hear your sister is OK. Look us SCRAP SF on google -- that is another thing to add to your list.....P
Hi Jen, glad it arrived, albeit in an envelope. So weird how some let it go through in the buff and others don't. I sent an ATC as is and it got there just fine. Hope you're having an artastic time
Jen, it's funny but I know exactly what you mean...you want to bat one out of the park and you hit a single or a foul ball...I've been doing that a lot lately...where exactly is that creativity knob anyway?
I found a great photo of my mom from the 1940's. I'm using it to make you a new fiber piece. Gotta get my "Happy Art" done first though. Maybe this week! Oh my, I'm so busy in Karenland. :-)
OOOoooOOoooNooooo Sorry to hear that....but if it is any consolation the weather changed from sunny and balmy to very stormy and pouring rain. Hope you can make it out here soon.
