I've sent her to various colleague mail artists.

Already some great 'this is what she sees' returned home.

I'll post them one by one in the coming weeks.

Thank you very much, all of you!

Thank you Heleen for publishing my stuff. It is a super interesting project and I particularly found Colin's take very original. It is one of those that make me think: 'Why didn't I think of it?'

On this scanned picture it is hard to see, but in real the area around the question mark is a mirror. Not so strange if you consider that this staring woman reminded a great mail artist of Alice (and Sophie).

Created by Mail Art Martha, who also creates wonderful comics.

Among them this matching one (to be posted in one of the coming weeks on my animals blog, too),

Thank you very  much, Martha!

Finally it is today! Today is the day we're waiting for since 364 days: 18 November is Banana Appreciation Day!

So I am happy to finally be able to post today's answer from Katerina to the question: ' What or whom is she staring at?'. Well, that is clear :-)

On the back side a great Banana artistamp (I guess it origins from Anna Banana), and Katerina  wishes me two wishes: one for a happy Banana Day, and the other for a Vrolijk Pasen = Happy Easter (yay! Longing for spring, too!)!

Thank you very muchευχαριστώ πολύ, Katerina!

Lots of apples and onions (good for health), and some dinosaurs! How nice that she chose to dress herself using matching colours :-)

Sent by Katerina Nikoltsou. And, this mail art came along with an other envelope. Curious to know what else she's staring at? I will share it here not before 18th November!

Thank you very much, Katerina, ευχαριστώ πολύ!

Coincidentally I got into contact with Dutch mail artist Marc de Hay. Someone from the USA had send mail to him, but accidentally addressed it to my p.o.box in Amstelveen instead of Marc's in neigbouring city of Amsterdam. Via the internet I found the correct address, so I forwarded the mail, accompanied by her. Marc was so kind to add what she is staring at - a beautiful painting by Marc himself - and returned it to me.

Marc is publisher of the Stardust Memories Zine, which appears at irregular base. I couldn't find a website, but if you search the web I'm sure you'll find some more info.

Thank you very much, hartelijk dank, Marc!

Orange, the colour, and oranges/portokáli, the fruits, of course catch her eyes!

Created and sent by Katerina Nikoltsou from Greece.

Thank you very  much, ευχαριστώ πολύ, Katerina!

'She is looking at the finish line'.

Great addition by Anna Banana from Canada. She wrote she'll be traveling to the Netherlands (today!). Wishing a safe and joyful travel. Hopefully we'll be able to meet.

Thank you very much, Anna!

They turned 85, the two of them, earlier this month. I received this mail one month before. So this has been added by my dad at the age of 84, supported by my mom who was 84 at that time, too.

Thank you very much, dankjulliewel!

Nicole Eippers is my favourite Pig collector and a great collage maker. I have send several pieces of piggy mail art to her, while she created beautiful non-piggy animal collages to send to me.

These facts made me very  much surprised when I opened the envelope: this time no collage but  a  wonderful drawing. Of course Nicole is right: what else can the lady see than  lovely piggies?!

Thank you very much, hartelijk dank, Nicole!

While she is holding a flower and both she and Salvador Dalí are watching more flowers/succulents, two unknown people are watching us...

Great collage, created by Fleur Helsingor. On the back pretty stamps - an other succulent! - and pigeon artistamps:

Thank you very much, Fleur!
