Received from Ka van Haasteren, Nederland--Sacred Spring

Maybe it's because I'm tired of winter, but I'm seeing clear signs of spring in this work: seeds, femininity, fertility, and by the look on the figure's face, she's thinking something hopeful. Like her previous work, Ka's precise collage straddles the line between elegance and wit. I wonder if she gets an idea first and then searches for the right material to create it, or if she sees the images first and then starts putting the collage together. Either way, the results are wonderful.

I like the mythological beings and symbols on the envelope very much. Thanks, Ka. It's good to find your work in my mailbox again.
