Quilted Trashpo from Rebecca Guyver!!

I've been making Trashterpiece quilts lately in my quest to find new directions in trashpo. Rebecca said this inspired her to make this excellent trashpo quilt. she has added her own superior flair by scooping up the 'garbage' she had in her car, combing it with plastic bags, and making this color blocked quilt. It feels just like fabric and it would be great to see a bag made out of this.  Trashpo Textiles are the logical next step just like asemic wallpaper was!!!!!  Thank you Rebecca-I love this!

That's beautiful as well Rebecca--how is your trash and trash bags so colorful? Ours are boring tan or white. DVS=I often wonder about stuff like that, as you always see ONE shoe on the side of the road. Are passengers constantly riding with their foot out the window? Because if so, I never see that.

Love the coffee bags Carina-saw something yesterday about a women's crafting group that was making plastic mats out of plastic bags for the homeless. I have a whole reaction to that concept in general, but it's definately industrious

Great concept and beautiful work! "Go with the flow" is a very appropriate phrase for Rebecca.

We have ongoing courses in quilted handbags, made of coffee bags. Very popular!

& you know with trash scavenging where I am it's not unusual to come across items of clothing but I have not yet started to pick those up.

But like you might see a perfectly good pair of pants in the middle of the street & cars are running over them. Who is doing this? Are people being abducted?

DK & Miss Becca, I think you are really on to something with this Trashpo quilt idea. Really nice piece posted here.

Diane, it doesn't look as bad as I anticipated.  This one I sent to my mum and I thin I moved on a bit.  I;ve sent out others that are variations.  I feel I am only just scratching the surface. Last night I found a way to create brush strokes!
