Pickled herring and a (very) bad sunburn, David Stafford

Pickled herring and a (very) bad sunburn. Little did David know that these themes are very well known to me. Every summer I have to choose which one I prefer, and it's always a difficult task.

Thank you for the wonderful mail-art, David!

Never let it be said that there are wrong ways of interpreting art....however....my feeling is we should let sleeping Gene Simmons lie. (Though the resemblance is undeniable, Thom).

I have to say, I was trying to figure out what this reminded me of… then I figured it out...

Gene Simmons from KISS.

You can never go too far, Dean...there's no kitchen table left....it's all notches....

"The only thing I do in bed is draw" ?  This sounds very sad to me.  Then again I would love to see the notches in your kitchen table.

Sorry, did I go too far?  I'll lay low for awhile.

Hiroshima Carrot....it does have a certain allure... but if art is about anything at all, it's about dropping a cold idea into a hot mind and seeing it melt into a million different things. Hopefully, one of them is true but I suppose it needn't be. Viz, because of my addiction to the computer I have found that that drawing is something I do only when I'm in bed. I'm gonna be changing that behavior one of these days. Thank you all for your kind words and ideas.

'Must applaud dear David for creating another fantastic Fashion statement:

"...Salmon colored evening attire with white fox collar

and the  woman is wearing a Jackie O hat of white/grey feathers."

It's all in how we look at it?

Young lady or old woman illusion

Night time sketchbook...I like this idea, it sounds so professional.

Looks more like a Hiroshima carrot to me.  Maybe that's why it's 50% off.
