KDJ, David Stafford, Grigori Antonin, and Diane Keys

Is KDJ missed or what? Yesssss. She sent this piece in November, as well as a most generous gift of a well-known collage book I'd not yet obtained. It became an instant favorite: KDJ, since you're not forgotten, why be gone? Ack, not to pressure, but as you can see it is sorely tempting to try. ...

KDJ started the IUOMA group "I'm Enchanted With David," and here is but one small example of why:

You get the impression that every one of David's stories creates itself with a growing momentum, word by word, each choosing the road not taken. That's part of his charm. Why he went and redacted some of this one is anybody's guess, but my own theory is that it might have something to do with the other side:

Oh the irony there. I'm afraid she does look like some of my 19th-century Norwegian ancestors. They weren't a cheerful-looking lot either, but never mind. The Scottish ones weren't either. ...

Grigori Antonin carried out a famously successful Erni Bar Fan Action earlier this year, and I was lucky to receive one of numerous documentations he sent out. None of us saw it coming; he just did it, and set a great wave of Action moving over the continents. Awesome, and I don't use that word often or lightly:

Diane Keys, DKult, DK! Trashpo Central! She sent a recent piece I'd openly admired on her website. As I then told her, "It pays to wish out loud." She puts up new work on her blog regularly, and I highly recommend it:

*Thank You*

Nancy, you pretty much nailed my technique to a t. If I approach things conceptually as opposed to spontaneously they tend to be pretty maudlin. Thanks for the blog.

yes, this time it was only up for a day and a half:(  It's the third mail art show I've done and I am always amazed at how great the art is that people send in.  The world definately moves too fast. I hate having to make lists to keep track of everything you 'have' to do.  I'd rather do one thing at a time. I will definately put that on my resume. Can I put that to account for the employment gap between 2000 - 2004?

The trashpo show is down already? Geez trashpo moves fast. Maybe it's the world. Believe me, it was lame, but I did my best at the time, so it's ok. Thank you for the kind words, DK. YOu sure haven't hurt my mind any; you could put it on your resume.

That she does Nancy. I'm sure your collage wasn't lame. Just took down the trashpo show and was admiring the amazing pieces you sent. I love the way your mind works

Thanks kids. It's a shame KDJ's book couldn't join the pile of a+p s already stuck here. I'll make her a little one myself--the last thing she got from me was a lame collage during a lame phase a couple months ago. Luckily she has one of the best senses of humor on the block!

Great Haul Nance!! I miss KDJ tremendously. I was going to have the book for her sent on to you and Neil, but apparently it got finished right after I asked. She LOVED it.  If that is Tessie's happy face, I'd hate to see her sad. She looks like she has had about 100 kids and is tired out of her mind. I think I know that feeling. great blog!!
