FAB Trash & Pass by Borderline Grafix (USA), Carina Granlund (Finland) & Diane Keys (USA)

Mail art collab by IUOMA members Carina Granlund (Petsmo, Finland), Diane Keys (Elgin, Illinois, USA) and Borderline Grafix (Austin, Texas, USA)

November 17, 2015 - Deepest thanks go out to Borderline Grafix of DKULTX for sending this spectacular collage-collab started by Carina Granlund and Queen of Trash Diane Keys. Our D-Kompatriot in Texas has clearly made his own distinctive additions that raise the work to yet another level of Trashpo post-decadence.

This piece (approximately 8.5 X 11 inches) testifies to the fact that the Trash & Pass (the Trashpo version of the Add & Pass) is alive and well. In my estimation, this collage stands among the Trash & Pass classics. Borderline Grafix is a great stamp artist, and this piece is filled with a forest of contemporary mail art icons. (In fact, it could pass for a Brain Cell!). Here is a close-up of one that alludes to the Post-Pop elements of the work. (How can we have a Carina Granlund presence without Post-Pop?)

Borderline Grafix also included one of his solo pieces in the mailing:

When I receive a piece like this, I am always torn between greedily keeping it for the MinXus Archives or adding and passing on to others. A solution is possible that allows for both. Thanks to Carina, Diane and Borderline Grafix!
