A Blog for Grigori Antonin - Why No Pop (T)Art(s) in South Africa?

Its been six months since I've heard from G.A.

I know now that his concern about our lack of soul food here in South Africa is real.

What on EARTH are those??? DEF none here, nope, never seen any ever. Thats all about to change....

I think they're edible, like fish (see below)

I dont know why but I'm really laughing at this :-)))

Being a pop tartlet and all.

Grigori's greatest  concern? Pop Art. Its not tribal.

Mail Art received 10th December 2010

Ok - my answer to this is - I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHY!

Nope, none, nada, nix, zero.

Mail Art received A LONG time ago! I confess I have been holding onto this one - being a Grigori newbee means I am not too certain of the references/innuendos Sir Grigori may be making. Anyone?

I had to wonder at Mother Teresa or was that an accident? Marie got the military!

Then there's the part about "Petroleum Oil for control of Orchard Pests" - dated 1967. Is that bull? At least I know it was issued by the US Dept of Mail Art! Grigori, when you call back - I'm taking the yes, let me know which pests you mean...

I know what it is - it has to do with the last card I sent him. The "Dont weep" card.

I see. I wasn't thinking of the prophet connection. Has nothing to do with that. It's not worth pursuing. GA puts great time and care into what he selects to send to people. That's all.

Because you blogged Ruth's beautiful work?

OK, too strange. I can never figure out what is coincidence and what is intention. Hiawatha was a Native American prophet here in New York. I'm confused. I guess the name appears a lot in the Midwest too.

I'm opening up the invitation to Hiawatha land.

Maybe it's a container for PopTarts kids can take to school so the poptarts aren't crushed? Might work as a Flux Kit. Nothing like that sugar rush at lunchtime. The word play with op-art and pop-art is clever. I suppose he's thinking of the British definition too.

Kat, you're behind the times. People don't put PopTarts in the toaster anymore. They open the wrapper and eat them. That's Homeland Security, BTW

Blame it all on NASA, Cheryl, ever since they came up with instant food in tubes and microwaves...Americans have forgotten how to cook...bake...or set a table! (exaggerating here). now Home Security is going to cut my internet connection. Actually ' tis them darn charter flights coming in . OK, I have to go for a swim in the Aegean Sea anyway! Have a good day ya awl!
