From: Jimmy Connors (0016-0120)

Here's another great postcard from fellow IUOMA-ning member, Jimmy Connors (Germany). Using the 'Ray Johnson Double' image as the base, Jimmy has made a simple and humorous photomontage. The speech bubble reads, "I don't know this Ray Jones guy..."

You may recall that I had used the same image of…

A recent postcard from Jack Lattemann, a.k.a. Cascadia Artpost. A political piece on current happenings!

The artistamp, "American Values, Global Warfare" ties in nicely with the artist's sentiments.

Always great to receive mail from Cascadia Artpost! Thanks so…

The Lyons' Den recently received mail art from Tammy Riggins (Clarksville, TN), a new correspondent and fellow IUOMA member.

A handmade envelope, made from a map, greeted me at the post office. Tammy enclosed an interesting original painting in pastel colors (above). I also got some goodies to enjoy. I especially…

From: Nancy Armstrong (0008-0120)

The Lyons' Den received mail from Nancy Armstrong (Shreveport LA) on the 13th of January. I had friended Nancy on Facebook last Summer (at Picasso Gaglione's urging), and I've come to admire her artwork.

In my opinion, Nancy's collage work is second to none.  It is quite lovely…

From: Kristen Hermanny (0006-0120)

Kristen Hermanny (Illinois) is another artist I enjoy. I may have mentioned this in an earlier post....Kristen and I were first acquainted on Instagram. I admired her envelope art / decorated covers on that platform, and I became curious about who she sent them too. Kristen is the person who introduced me to IUOMA, and I am so glad she did!…

From: Fonda Portales (0005-0120)

Mail came from a new correspondent today - Fonda Portales (Idaho).

I glanced at Fonda’s (like Jane) profile page, and it appears that she is new to this IUOMA platform and to mail art. I discovered that she is a collector and curator, so I guess you can say we are kindred souls. Fonda made a card featuring part…

From: Sabela Baña (0004-0120)

Today I received mail from Sabela Baña (Spain).

I always appreciate Sabela’s art. The envelope contained a whimsical postcard featuring a kitty cat playing with a Christmas ornament. A Christmas tree is in the background. (We no longer have cats in our home, but I certainly remember how they were drawn to the Christmas trees and ornaments. Houseplants were always a target, too! Haha!)

Sabela made two tags / bookmarks for me. The large one (pictured…

Jon Foster is # 1! First m-a for 2020. (0001-0120)

Welcoming in 2020 with the very first piece of mail-art is Mr. Jon Foster (Winston-Salem, NC).

Jon Foster is one of my FAVES when it comes to m-a correspondents. He is a talented artist, a giver of ‘great shit,’ and an all around good guy! Jon has a great sense of humor, which is evident by the’ random pieces of paper’ he creates. He uses his own likeness in a number of the pieces he circulates, so it appears he does not take himself so seriously. I like…

Happy New Year to all of you in the Eternal Network! Here at Lyons’ Den HQ I am gearing up for a couple of changes.

It’s a new dawn

It's a new day

It's a new life

For me

And I'm feeling good.

The one thing that must ABSOLUTELY change in 2020 - my turnaround time for acknowledging and…
