Going Bananas and Rubber Stamping

Getting ready for Banana day!

I was looking for my banana stamp and came across my old rubber stamping book. Many times I've pulled this off of my shelf thinking I'd get rid of it, then I look through it and am reminded of the wonderful-ness of rubber stamping. The book is full of history and examples of artists' work, and more. I'm going to…

If you like to use old US postage on your mail art envelopes...

Karl Anderson's a good source who I've used for several orders over the past few years.

His current list and very detailed information on requirements for ordering from him are found at:

http://www.andersonstampandcoin.com/Pricelist.pdf

Currently, he is selling mint US 3-cent stamps from the 1940's-50's for very little over face value.

National Postal Museum

For my birthday this year, we made a day trip by train, to Washington, D.C. for another visit to the National Postal Museum.  The museum is right across the street from the train station, how convenient for us.  There is a terrific gallery of stamps on the mail floor and on the lower level are displays relating to the postal service, interactive stuff, a post office…

Look what I was able to find! Plus not missing out on Edmund.

I found the super blotter thingy at an antique shop. It's copper on the top & it took a bit but we figured out how to put clean blotter paper on it. I just happened to have some. It's so useful with my new fountain pen (a lovely Lamy Nexx) and also with rubber…

TAM and Ruud Mail

Great stamped envelope and add-and-pass-on-printed-matter from Ruud!

I always wonder how Ruud succeeds in printing his stamps so well: you can see that all stamps are colouring completely!. While mine almost always leave some white (and when I try to solve it by using more  ink, there appear extra spots :-) ) !

Thank you very much, hartelijk dank,…

Let me diverge a bit here...
