Great MA from Samuel Montalvetti

This handsome mail art card is fantastic, I love it, along with the delightful booklets: I've seen some of Samuel's ultra-tiny fluxus and asemic books elsewhere, and coveted them.

Also enclosed is a [ ... ] cool add+pass envelope (I.D. credit: Lesley Magwood Fraser).  thank you for everything, I'm so pleased to have MA from you ~…

Gangblog of welcome cards from Dean Marks, JJalltheway, and BarnArt

First, Dean's claim that Barcodes Are Human Too: We've exchanged a few words on the barcode/human idea, but actually Dean convinced me with the art itself, as soon as it arrived. I love it and look forward to more of whatever Dean chooses to send. I like his…

Received from Susan McAllister

A wild and fun card that leaped out of my mailbox: A lot of work went into this interesting piece, and it brightens up the atmosphere in my dead resort town. She included a nice note on the back, too. Thanks very much, Susan ~

Hope for Japan - from Katerina Nikoltsou

A beautiful and delicate card from Katerina. Yes, in spite of all the things that happened and are still happening, hope is not dying out. Spring in here. Are we going to sit under the cherry trees and do hanami as every year? Maybe not. But then again, maybe we should.

I find this card to have quite a Japanese feel. Is it the ink, the symbiosis of paper and paint, the pure lines.... In any case, I love it, thank you Katerina, you have been such a great support in these…

A Creative Break

I thought I would start the month off with a bang. Um.... yeah. My body and brain said otherwise,so I took a creative break and watched a lot of movies and did some reading. I am now recharged and ready to get going again. My card making day will be this Thursday, so those of you who have sent me cards, you will be getting something in the next week or so. Thanks for being patient with me.

They hold up the world (very special ladies) - from Cheryl Penn

Today I give you four very special ladies. They might seem a little bit different at first, but they are one of us. And we are one of them.

Cheryl is a heck of a painter, and no less of a story teller. She is working on another volume of The Chronicles of Lyrehc, and those are some of the characters of the book. I think I would read such a book in one go and start all over again. And again. Looking at those paintings and reading Cheryl's words, I find a lot of that magic that I…
