Carien created this LARGE hand-made envelope with an Amsterdam scene so vibrant one might just leap right into the picture! The paper is quite thick and glossy...perhaps a repurposed book jacket from a coffee table book...

I can imagine riding my bicycle across one of Amsterdam's bridges or lounging on one of the passenger barges as it floats through…

Beautiful, the colors, the carved eraser border that also is water rising around that poor woman who is all of us, and whose dress is the same color as that border/water, and contrasts beautifully with the solid gold…

Lucky me, my spouse brought coffee to me while I was in bed reading this morning. Nothing on my schedule, my calendar blank, which is the new normal. After some time, I went into my studio and starting to cut words out of a magazine I thought I'd keep then decided to recycle. Oh, and a bunch of circles in two sizes. It was so satisfying to do this. So I made a few small random word poetry collages. …

Loving the envelope and again the great stamp of Poseidon.

A beautiful painted envelope from Brooke, with vintage stamps. The paint gives it a wonderful, cool to the touch, texture. A pity the sorting machine attacked one, and a postal worker's grease pencil nailed them all.…
