Fluxus 2025 - artproject
The highly anticipated Fluxus 2025 art project has gathered inspiring and thought-provoking submissions from artists worldwide. The final list of participants has been compiled, and a written introduction of the contributors will soon be published. If any participants wish to request modifications to their texts, they may do so via email within the next two weeks.
Call for Participation
Fluxus 2025 invited artists to submit their interpretations of the Fluxus movement, originally founded by George Maciunas (1931–1978). As a conceptual movement, Fluxus emphasizes ideas over finished artworks, encouraging experimentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

All submitted ideas will be exhibited digitally and physically as part of a special art event. There are no sales, no jury, and no returns, ensuring an open and inclusive artistic exchange. Works containing racist or obscene content will not be accepted. After the exhibition, all artworks will be permanently archived.
Fluxus 2025 & Luminosity: The Ocean Between VIII
To celebrate the interdisciplinary nature of Fluxus, Fluxus 2025 is included in the broader exhibition LUMINOSITY: The Ocean Between VIII—an international showcase combining painting, sculpture, mixed media, and installations to foster cultural dialogue and experimental creativity.
Curated by Marianna Buchwald and Tamara Wasserman, LUMINOSITY will be hosted at Oliva Gallery, Chicago, from July 18 to August 16, 2025. The exhibition features artists from diverse backgrounds exploring light, transformation, and artistic vision: Betty Kirk Chernansky, Bishal Manandhar, Bonnie Katz, Dale Pesmen, Franz Betz, Harro Schmidt, Jenny Chernansky, Judith Meyer, Kao Ra Zen, Kathryn Hempel, Kevin B. The Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble will host various performances during the symposium, blending dance, theater, music, and visual arts to explore social themes through artistic expression.
