Zombie Kitty Kawaii from Rocker Louise Kiner

Received this excellently drawn zombie kitty yesterday. You can't see frmo the picture, but certain parts of the cat are 3D  (Paw, eye, and tail). I like the cat's rat tail he looks like he's been through hell-maybe Road Kill raised from the dead. He SHOULD take his revenge. Thank you… Continue

Theresa Williams and Walt Whitman

I find this beautiful beyond words:

For some, it may be a first to see a photo of Walt Whitman younger than how he is usually pictured, as an old man with white beard.  Here he is the handsome, sensitive, strong, and yet vulnerable-looking poet of his earlier years (in his 30s?), when he began to write "Leaves of Grass," and Theresa's piece has done him full justice, in…

Thom Courcelle, never a dull moment

Knitting might seem straightforward (I wouldn't know, personally), but Thom's isn't:

After opening, I was turning this every which way, trying to decide the right view.  Maybe it's a duck on a skateboard or scooter?  In walks my husband, who takes one look and says, "oh, OOB, that's great!"  We live in Old Orchard Beach, OOB, and of course, there it is!  Or is it? …

Roberto's Aunt Julia came to my house today

And here she is, a lovely lady, in a collage by Roberto:

I love the composition and colors, Roberto!  La Tia Julia is identified not only in a nice note from Roberto but also on the back of the collage.  I think she must be special to him:

The…

Zombie Encyclopedia contribution

Here is my contribution to superhero's encyclopedia. It's a take-off on the word "WRAC-K" - unifying the word with superhero's well endowed female zombies and Oh Boy!'s Fake John Evans collage templates that he sent me awhile back.

The background image that I used in this collage is from the back page of a new 12-pg magazine that I recently created which I will be posting here at IUOMA in the near future. If I sound like a media whore, I'm all about the pop art in today's troubled…

Cherry Blossom Asemic Poem #3 - from Dark wall

I've had this piece by DW for several months now but it got lost in the middle of a jar of seasonal pickles. I think it is time to bring it back to daylight because it is quite a remarkable piece.

This was an early Cherry Blossom Asemic, and the only one of the series that I actually received. I am very fond of the colors, the delicate beauty of the asemic writing,…

Heart Matters - from Lesley Magwood Fraser

Lesley is sending me a wonderful bookie, her Heart Matters, which shows again all her talent of drawer and book artist.

The book can be flipped and viewed horizontally or vertically, depending on the page and your mood.

Lesley's Heart is a truly physical and palpable organ. Just like any other organ, it has its own physiology and rules, no way around…

This could only be from Helen Aymes

I laughed so hard when I received this. Helen and I were talking about the problem of overpopulation of kangaroos in Australia. She said they use kangaroo meat in pet food. I also asked if people eat it, so I think this is the answer to that "Not fit for human… Continue
