Have any of you read The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon? I've recently read it, and have been creating a sizeable amount of art based on it. It is very related to mail, specifically unofficial…Continue

Hey everyone!
I have not been active on here for a very long time, even though I have continued to love receiving your wonderful letters and art! I will be trying to be more diligent with my mail art practice, but since I have just started my first semester of art school, this may prove to be difficult! That being said, I'll be sending some postcards out to a few of my regular folks from this new address, but for anyone who needs it, I've updated it on my profile.
Also, I…

I am currently on an art retreat to the second location of Black Mountain College in the mountains of North Carolina! This place, though I've never been here before, is incredibly important to me. Though the building is original and in tact, the entire facility is now a YMCA, which is incredibly unsettling to me, as I am not a fan of the Y as a corporate organization. Regardless, I'm having a pretty wonderful time, and will hopefully complete a lot of work in the following 6 days! If…

To be honest, it makes me so stressed to post a scan or photo of the art that you all send me. This does not in any way indicate that I don't appreciate the art. Because I love it. So much. This community makes me so happy, and I adore being a part of it. However, in the future I think I'll cherish the art en seule and that way have more time to create and less time spent on trying to keep up with the amount of art I've been sent. Hopefully, everyone is alright with this. If anyone has a…

So happy to see you back here, Liam! I've missed you and wondered how you were doing. Now I see all is well and you're in art school! Good for you!

LIGMA, you've been blogged!
LIGMA, I blogged your recent Mail Art to me....thanks!
LIGMA, I'm so glad you had such a positive experience at the Black Mountain retreat! I love the little zine you sent me, especially "My room was a sad little room." It reminds me very much of the experience I have at the Pt. Townsend Writer's Conference every summer. Thanks for the painting, too! I hope you keep doing mail art--I'll send you something soon.
The poem is on it's way to you via snail.
