I haven't gone back to confirm this, but I am reasonably sure I read the diamond-encrusted skull was on display at the Lehman Brothers brokerage firm on Wall St. when the firm collapsed in 2008 (they were chiefly responsible for the bogus securities & derivatives that sank the world economy.) Those are the kind of folks who drive that part of the art market you are describing.

Barclays bought Lehman's tangible assets & the firm remains in bankruptcy. Wonder what happened to the skull?

I think I have this right.

Did I say,  "I wouldn't mind having my skull diamond encruted."  Encruted?  What is encruted?  Surely, I meant, entrusted to be encrusted.

Maybe Erni Bär can get my skull out for encrustment without damaging anything en route.

Considering my hat is George Maciunas' hat borrowed from Vittore Baroni to protect my head from below the threshold of perception cultural propaganda, maybe it can also be used to pop out my skull instead of its usual rabbit.

Not that Maciunas headgear is 100% reliable.  Tim Burns got Maciunas' bicycle helmet from Only One Larry Miller at a garage sale, but I think that ended up spit into two pieces like breaking the fluxus bread.  In any case, Tim Burns is still up and walking.

21.01.14 Dare U.W.U.L.,  ...I suspect that I am pretty much in the same boat as you (i.e.  all I know is what I've heard & or read somewhere). Generally, it is always just a roomer even if it is called "The  Inn". It has been somewhat difficult for me to grasp the 21st century ( as it was with the twentieth) but alas I beginning to come to grips with some of it & I am of the opinion that "this is the mail". Best to you. Richard Canard

Damien Hirst is Warhol like in his accumulation of wealth from his art -- much of which (like his dot paintings, and his pill compositions, let alone his sharks) is produced by his Studio workers, not by him. At the age of 40 he was already the richest ever British artist. He held a sale of his own works at Christies in London about 2 years ago, and received over £110 million ($160?) for his stuff. Then there is his diamond encrusted skull that sold for £50million +. It is said that he is more interested in marketing his art than making it.

Richard Canard, I have heard people say Andy W. would pay 10 or 5 dollars for a Ray Johnson but where did he say this? Is there any record of this statement or is it just a rumor? Please send some mail!!!

But is this prohibited maybe by the US-department -of-whatever,

for the use and publication of Federal Reserve Notes (also know as "big bucks?)

Once upon a time there were FluxBucks...but they may be copywrong violations?
