Nice) story Lynne, thank you. Perhaps it opens up a new career for you as a "Hanging Work Above Dentists' Chairs Artist" (or something like that)

I had a lovely response to this art from a friend in San Francisco.  She wrote: "Yesterday I had an appointment with my dentist.  Actually with two dentists. I had a fixed bridge that was failing as one tooth that was supporting it had gone bad. So the first dentist sawed the bridge in two leaving the good tooth intact. Then the second dentist - an endodontist spent more than an hour extracting the roots of the other tooth. I was numbed up solidly so no pain (until afterwards when the Novocain wore off and Vicodin came to the rescue) but it was a long time in the chair with all this heavy equipment and hands in my mouth.  Now why am I telling you this?  Because at some point I was thinking distressing thoughts and I knew I wanted to be somewhere else in my head. And the place I imagined was the image you sent me. I was reclining in your room with the glorious ornamental fish suspended above me. It made me feel both calm and whimsical. I was so glad to be there. You just never know how art will touch someone. Yours brought me through my dental trauma and for this I sincerely thank you."
