no steps, more like a "leap of faith".
99% if my stamps are generated with no conscious plan. if I draw freehand, they are composed as automatic writing. if I work from a collage series, it is usually the background that I work up first. that may take a few minutes, but that could be stretched out over a few years. if I like the background, I will then try to imagine a story, or at least some addition that surprises me. The result is a near random selection of themes and images for my stamps. The limitation is the nature of the stamp, and the use of some reference to the USA. Only about one in 10 stamps makes it to the internet. The others might, someday. Or maybe not. Occasionally there is a theme, such as Halloween, Christmas, or someone's birthday. I follow the same procedure of near random assembly for these as well. I am as surprised by the results as perhaps anyone else. I aim to undo the obvious.
Bomb proofing is going to go on for a while
Haha! That is part of logic, the randomness rule.
Each stamp is different. Perhaps I'll work up another one in a few weeks. My stamps are almost all haphazard.
Yes. And sometimes with an eye. I do that on some of my other stamps.
My stamp is a metaphor. It could be a church, or a government building. I didn't specify either. The roofing on many buildings is peaked, as in the stamp. Sometimes there are towers, or just one tower. The padding is what one cares to make of it: decoration? protection? Beautiful words? Pretty architecture to protect and defend?
Well, there's the stamp padding.
you can follow that debate online.
I'm a logician: that covers everyone's point of view.
