Zombie Kitty Kawaii! wants to travel the World and needs your help! This project is part "Flat Stanly", part "Add and Pass" and part "Roaming Gnome". Let me explain:
1) Zombie Kitty Kawaii! will arrive on your doorstep needing a place to stay. Of course, you will have to entertain her; take her to a favorite cafe, a famous landmark or any place of your choosing (shopping, perhaps?). Photograph yourself with Zombie Kitty Kawaii! (camera phone is fine) and email to zombiekittykawaii@gmail.com or post it here, telling me what you guys did while she was visiting.
2) Stamp her Passport (or draw something or write something.).
3)Send her on her merry way to another address.
4) When her "Passport" is full or expired, send her home to me.
All photos emailed and Zombie Kitty Kawaii! News will be posted on The Zombie Kitty Kawaii! Travels The World Blog.
If you happen to send out a postcard on Zombie Kitty Kawaii!'s behalf, I will post something nice back to you for helping her. You can send your postcards to:

Wow!Wow! These are great, Kat! They will go up on the blog sometime tomorrow.
Back in MomKat's neighborhood, Zombie Kitty and Phat Kat want to meet up with the local kits and kats. Unfortunately, it is soooo cold outside, that most of the cats are down in the apartment building's basement next to the central heating furnance keeping warm.
Only MomKat cat and Whitey came out to say "hi", er, "kalimera" to Zombie Kitty and Phat Kat. MomKat, the leader of the gang, was curious to see what these foreigners were made of!
At the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, Zombie Kitty sees that there is an exhibit of Ancient Macedonian art...and Zombie Kitty knows that Macedonia is Greek ...since prehistoric times!
Of coure the "kats' are not allowed inside the museum, but there are some marble sculptures outside..sooooo photos could be taken. Zombie Kitty liked the
sculptures...
and Phat Kat liked the end scene with the warrior and the Amazons:
Now after taking in all the sights, it was time for a break.
Phat Kat wanted pizza, of course,(see where it is written:Thessaloniki"?)
but Zombie Kitty said let's get some hot choco instead, it was freezing out!
Soooo, hot choco with lots of whipped cream atop and
a choco cupcake for ALL the kats! yummy!
Zombie Kitty Kawaii and Phat Kat take a stroll in the northern city of Greece: Thessaloniki, that's MomKat's home town.
It was a beautiful day, (no grey like Athens,) Greek blue sky and the deep blue Aegean sea. It was COLD...but sunny! Here is Zombie kitty at he seafront, this is the upper northern part of the Aegean Sea: Themaikos Gulf.
Famous landmark in Thessaloniki is the White tower on the seafront. It is from the remains of the sea walls made in the Middle Ages. Thessaloniki has many monuments from the 12-14 c A.D. Look, not a cloud in that Greek blue sky!!!
Zombie Kitty and Phat Kat passed by the modern OTE Tower, that is the telephone and telecommunications tower with a revolving cafe atop.
Thessaloniki is named after Alexander the Great's sister, and here is Zombie Kitty and Phat Kat checking out a statue of King Philip of Macedon, the father of Alexander and Thessaloniki.
Now a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki...
I love it! Glad you all survived. I had to post these as soon as possible, so here is the link:
http://zombiekittykawaii.blogspot.com/2012/01/zombie-kitty-kawaii-a...
Let me know if everything looks o.k.
hee, hee, we survived! 'Good thing the guard didn't tear up ZKK! Although at the entrance I did have some explaining to do with ZKK in my pouch bag! "Printed Matter"...harmless, I said!
Pity flash is not allowed, and outside it was a grey day...photos are a bit dark.
Will try to do better when "we" go to the sights here in Thess.
To the Acropolis museum to see the sculptures and a view of the Parthenon high on the third floor! The guard rushed to Zombie Kitty and forbid any photos inside with "the cat" :-(
But this one with the view of the Parthenon was done before the guard came.
Now, inside the Acropolis Museum are the famous sculptures of the pediments, but they are white plaster copies , as the originals are still in the British Museum in London...you know: "The Elgin Marbles".
The white plaster makes these sculptures look like "ghosts"...waiting for the real ones to return.
There are painted-like-old-marble full size plaster copies also at the subway/Metro station and that is where Zombie Kitty and FatCat were able to pose with the "ancient" Greek art.
The metro stations also have on exhibit the archaeological items that were found while digging to make the Metro underground. Zombie Kitty liked these amphoras:
