La Conciergerie is a former royal palace and prison in Paris, France, located on the west of the Île de la Cité, near the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. It is part of the larger complex known as the Palais de Justice, which is still used for judicial purposes. Hundreds of prisoners during the French Revolution were taken from La Conciergerie to be executed on the guillotine at a number of locations around Paris.  The most famous prisoner (and victims) included Queen Marie Antoinette.  It was here where she said the famous quote; "Let them have Zomie Kat"

No, I wasn't there unfortunately. Quite some time ago, the Toronto Fire Services made calanders to raise money for the Sick Children's Hospital and would sell them at The Bay (a local department store here). The calanders would be sold by the men and women who appeared in the calanders. They were always good sports about signing them as well :-)

Now, what's this I hear about a fireman calendar?? I once (about 6 years ago) went to a firemens' fundraiser night inToronto, cos my friend's dad works for the Mississauga Fire Station! I wonder if you were there too? Great night but no calendars!
