Post boxes

In my holidays I took photos of public post boxes sometimes, but sometimes I forgot it. Feel free to upload your own, but not letter boxes please.

Some Royal Mail postboxes that were in a documentary on Greek TV last week...

interesting one with a "side" slot for mailing :-)

And there's a "ER" one in-the-wall:

I found this French Postbox for sale in an antiques store by I couldn't bring myself to pay 340 euros ($385).  But I kept the address if anyone is ever interested.

I suppose to be pedantically accurate, the G stands for Georgius as it's in Latin. I read that Charles will use his middle name and be George VII but now that Royal Mail's privatised will they bother? Will they take the opportunity to drop the 'royal'? They tried it before with Consignia. Meanwhile I continue to post my mail in boxes labelled VR.

A GR post box was put up during the era of King George (G stands for George, R stands for Rex, which is King in Latin).

Malta: Leftovers from the once so called Kingdom.Come back to fix the roads!

The present Queen's cypher is EIIR, standing for Elizabeth II Regina.

Wonder if we'll ever see a Harry post box.

Ha, I can't believe I was the last one to post here in this group two years ago. Here are some pics from the local post office in Goa, India, where I am right now.
