Haha, Katerina. Your neighbors need us to send them mail art? (Yah, I don't have enough to do.) US mail boxes are blue + huge, you got that right. The shape, the design--it doesn't do anything. It's so thick-waisted.

Actually, I like US MAIL boxes, they are blue and huge, and jolly and happy looking! (Are you reading this, Val???)

And at our place of residence, they are also called MAIL boxes, because that is where the MAIL Art is to be found. My MAIL box at Glinou 20 is very jolly and happy because it loves filling up with MAIL  art. The other MAIL boxes are not so happy!

The only reasonable thing about "mail box" here is that they are as boring and plain as their name. They all look the same. I'd love to say post or letter box, but no one would know what I'm talking about.

Some say POST box,

some say LETTER box,

and in that country across the Big Pond,

from sea to shining sea, it is MAIL box! ;-)

It's like a "boot" and a "hood" or a "trunk"...

The title of this Group is "POST boxes", and so...

... it should not be allowed for anyone to refer to those horrible things called 'Mail boxes' ....

..or else all your post will ber forever lost.
