NOTE: This Group is effectively in deep, very derep hiberrnation. The amount of ongoing Arty Slide activity is very close to nil, alas.

Lay them all out, quickly group what you can obviously group by theme, next anything you can group by color whatever is left go straight random. Good luck...as a long time OCD case I have a real knack for straightening, grouping and organizing, wish I was close enough to help

i'm the wrong person for advice as i have an unorthodox way of grouping things and am the only one who understands it. i would go for what makes sense to you or the classic: by theme....

The slides are single sided only. I have about 300 Single Arty Slides and about the same number of Double Arty Slides. What you saw on the photos was only about 100 Single Arty Slides.

The problem that I have is grouping them -- 4 Singles per 20 x 20 cm canvas, and 3 Doubles per 24 x 19 cm canvas. There is no 'best' way to group them -- by colour, by theme, by era, by type of image.

I will probably spend hours trying out various combinations and shuffling them about, but then say 'Oh sod it!' and just stick them on the canvasses in any old order. It might work out better that way (and no-one will know that there wasn't a Master Artistic Plan behind it).

I don't really tink that the cats could help in this, although I suppose I should ask them. They seem to have been schooled in the French phenomenoligical tradition that emphasises disassembly rather than assembly.

For the mailing, VizVoz, the slides have to be on one side only (and you're supposed to be sending 2 to each participant), but you can make double sided ones if you want to (I'm only doing single sided ones).

No, prettylily, I didn't get to Paris -- couldn't afford to go, alas.

No more duvets for the cats and I until we have out postlunch siesta: it's a hard life!
