Incredible Christmas Trashbook from Amy Irwen--traditions with a twist

I think this was the very first piece I ever received from the fabulously talented Helder Coeler Dias (think I just butchered his name). He's not around as much anymore on IOUMA but this piece was so appropriate to this group I had to post it.

Absolutely Schooling- a friend of mine posted it on FB and I thought it was a great PSA. Nadine, either your Mom was really strict or they were really challenging. I've never met a cookie cutter person that interested me very much, although they might have an easier time in life.  I'll stick with the art rebels

Neat family history story, Nadine, and you sound like a mother with her priorities straight ! Neil is a.o.k., bravo from me too --

I love this "1 in 5 will experiment with art." I work in the College of Fine Arts so I would like to print this out and post it in my office for all the students to see. Hope this is ok??

Have to comment; My Mom kicked out my two brothers from the cub scout troop she was the den mother of. My son sounded like you. Now he's a street artist and has finally found his acceptance.

Bravo to you!

That's awful Neil! There were plenty of kids like that in my kid's pre schools and they never kicked anyone out. Sounds like you were just misunderstood.

Funny...I always loved the class clowns..me, I was the crier and pants wetter..a true mamas girl...I think I've outgrown both!

Actually, no probably second hand smoke from my hippies- with- out hair-parents,,, but no i got kicked out because i was hyperactive, at nap time they would play classical music, i'd make funny faces and pretend to play the instruments-made kids laugh-no naptime! I'm sure i did other strange things!
