TY, Nancy.  Isn't all of this drama FUN?  I had to chuckle; thinking of you running back to the mailbox!  The PO probably has a card on you....oh yes.....they had a card on one of my cats years ago.  My address was marked "attack cat".

The U.S. has really really missed the boat on siesta time.

Oh, this is fun with the postman adventures! And I was ready to send off some trashpo and a "Hi thar, SMILE Mr. Postman" on the envelope. 'Might still go ahead with that ;-) What if there are replacements and temps for the holiday mailings? Nancy, ol' grumpy might not be around???

My postgal has gone missing this past week, a young student temp is doing her rounds and I never see him when he comes to our mailboxes. Also a mystery is the mail "pick up" from the yellow mailbox on my corner. No one ever sees the postal truck come by. One day I am going sit in my parked car and wait, it might be around 3 or 4 p.m. which is "siesta time" in Greece and we are all resting indoors.

Update #2 on p.lily's mail art for my grumpy mailman: About 2 hours before he usually shows up, I saw mailtruck drive by with replacement driver! Yikes! Before he could come back on our side of the road, I ran to our mailbox and rescued the pringles can (with new red circle AND note from me attached). It's back inside; will try again tomorrow. Isn't this suspenseful?

Diane, recently the downtown PO closed. 3 people worked there and they were all happy and helpful. Always a good time. Unfortunately, i was out of town the day it closed. Wanted to take them cookies. Now i'm forced to go to the main branch. very weird vibes. you know that expression, one rotten apple spoils the basket. something like that. Even the happy people who were transferred have lost their glow. :(

Wait for me, Diane.  Mine was just posted yesterday!

Alicia, My postmistress @ the PO was feeling the love when I purchased a big lot of stamps, earlier in the week.  It made her very happy & she smiled.  She didn't even balk at the outgoing Pringle Can.

Nancy, thank you so much for sending. I think your mailman probably doesn't read any of the mail. I think they can take things addressed to them as we've done it many times-left water bottles with his name on them when it's boiling hot out. Your mailman has no idea that we have a mission to get his hard exterior to break. Sounds like he wouldn't care either but I find it amusing. Can't wait to get Dario's mail and I still haven't come up with anything for you guys. I'm stumped on what to give a mailperson!

i love you guys. spreading the love to the chain that makes it happen - the postal people. Hope they can see that we are in their camp doing our best to keep their jobs alive.

Yes.... be a trendsetter and decorate your mailbox with trashpo.  Maybe there is some mail regulation that keeps from opening it.

Hmmmmdon't know about that engaging smile part--I'm afraid--the guy is really intimidating. If he doesn't take it tomorrow, though, I love your second suggestion and will do it !
