my now internationally known grouchy postman right away took the goodies from diane and katerina last week after i left them prominently for him.  i really believe that the wonderful overtures made by you two and p.lily are lightening his psychic load.  thank you on behalf of mike (never knew his name before, but a neighbor says he talked to mike last week for the first time and he was friendly, even told larry his name.  coincidence?  nah.)

that children's art project, diane, it sounds perfect right now.  i might do it tomorrow, thanks for the idea, to get the river flowing again.  i hope people get trashy on christmas day; hope they don't wait till the day after.  but i'll be patient.  best to you all ...

I think that would be great Neil! I know an artist that does children's art workshops where they go on a walk and collect found objects to then later make them into shadow boxes. It would be so fun to do that. 

Sue, I hope he liked it or at least it made someone's day slightly more interesting:)

Dario left us a thank you card yesterday that has a handwritten note that says "I wish you a life full of happiness thank you for your generosity" which is a message to all of us.

Diane, I left your card for my postman today and he took it!  Now I wonder if he will read it - if not SOMEONE at the PO will enjoy it.  Thanks again.  I really didn't want to let it go.  It was so lovely.  Sigh.......

Your daughter making trashbooks gives me an idea diane..... This would be a great lesson in art and enviorment for school-age kids or in afterschool programs and summer camps. Maybe we can be "Trash Ambassadors" Teach kids the value and joy of trash!!!!

Thank you Jennifer-it's weird because I don't know if she even knows about trashbooks or knows that I make them. She's just very resourceful and likes making things out of nothing. That, or maybe she is more observant than I realize! Have a great holiday you guys:)
