This is a place to explore all things trashpo (Trash Poetry)and found objects. Trashpo is 1) economical 2) environmentally responsible and 3) challenging. It's a great way to repurpose all the trash that our planet is buried in!

"If trashpo has taught me anything its that every windblown street corner and cyclone fence is a veritable Dick Blick of free art materials."
Not that kind of junk and not thse kinds of drawers... Hey, we all have them. I have several. They are veritable trasher troves of useless and useful-but-forgotten stuff. Papers, letters from lost lovers, dried up fountain pens, church attendance…Continue

DKult was originated by DeVillo Sloan-- a Kult comprised of my 'fans' ---DKulters. He was the only one at the time and possibly even now. But It has evolved into a friendly neighborhood Kult devoted to the worship of trash and the creation of…Continue

How it would be if artists ruled the world. thinking these would make good DKult houses
Thom, I hope KDJ was transcribing that whole legal disclaimer because that was first rate--now I'm too confused to even think about sueing-good.
Dean, love what DVS sent you. I think with the help of the shroud, he is stepping up production on these D-kits. KDJ has also put the fear of Goddess in him. She has told him that if he doesn't send out more mail art, he will lose his place on the merkavha space capsule scheduled to depart May 8 for the fourth dimension. (After the last trip, several unfortunate DKulters ended up permanently stuck in another dimension)
I know it's rumoured that De Villo Sloan doesn’t actually send out Mail Art, or rarely.
And I know that a lot of Mail Artists think what’s the point of being a mail artist and if you don’t really send out mail art.
But all this has now changed as I just received an envelope from De Villo Sloan full items including a piece of the Elgin shroud which has Orgone powers, and is said to have been worn by Diane Keys herself.
As what I understand from the enclosed story is that featherless, three-legged chickens with heads like ants drank the water that was dripping from the recently washed shroud and then transformed into gorgeous swans.
And to top it all off, and what I consider priceless is a deposit envelope from the Episcopal Church of SS. Peter & John. Church deposit envelopes are part of a story I have been telling to Europeans for years. They just cannot believe that churches in America have this type of system in place. But now I have the proof to show them, and will carry it around with me where ever I go. (Just in case it comes up again in conversation.) Anyway this stuff kept me laughing for days.
What’s that I hear you say?; “But stuff just put into an envelope isn’t really mail art.” Well maybe you are right, but you can receive mail art for years and no matter how beautiful they are, or how talented the artists are that do them, they may not change your life in the slightest bit.
However when it does happen, mail art or not, one can not ignore the event. So to receive something like this from someone who doesn’t ever send out mail art, is a true sign from the Mail Art Omens. And starting on Monday, I’m going to put that Elgin Shroud into good use and change my world!
Disclaimer: The Magic DK OracleTM Corporation did not intend to single out any individual's saggy behind in the printing of it's novelty game instructions. The instructions were intended for general public audiences and references to un-perky cheeks should not be interpretted as indicating any particular individual's sit-down region regardless of one's level of self-consciousness. We have consulted with the maker of the Magic DK OracleTM and the indication of the creator of this game was that there was no personal interest in the behind of the litigant. We repeat, your behind is safe from any undue mistreatment by employees of the Magic DK OracleTM Corporation. While the example provided in the Magic DK OracleTM instruction manual was merely intended to provide a sample of a real-world scenario whereby the OracleTM could possibly have been employed, we would like to point out that it is entirely possible that the more an individual might run up and down one's street (clothed or otherwise), the less saggy one's behind is likely to appear.
The Oracle is a real winner, Thom. Did you really say that about KDJ? Usually you're so unrude! I love how you make sure to TM Scrabble. Every time.
The D-kching! Yes!
This is hysterical Thom--the DK Oracle is the perfect compliment to the DKoder rings. When airport security takes away your ring, you can use the oracle on the plane. The bag doubles as mittons and private parts warmer--pure genius! I think the only negative answer that could come out of an oracle reading would be if the bag unravels. Then it's a serious emergency requiring airlift to the DKult Compound.
