For the past two weeks, we have had high voltage power surges throughout our house. ComEd came and said there was no problem, that it was inside our house. We call an electrician. He can find nothing wrong and says it's outside the house. Finally a fire truck pulls up two doors down, soon followed by a comed truck. All the neighbors come out holding their fried power strips like the comed guy is the ice cream man. A transformer had blown and it affected the whole block. ComEd kept telling everyone that no other complaints had been received. So, this is our blown power strip.
