Cool, thanks Steph! If I had a high resolution image, I would be more than happy to try it if she likes it... hey, for that btn., what do you think of having a few "glug glug glug" like little bubbles floating above the can? You know, like in cartoons of drunk people?

Comment by Claire (aka Cleo) on July 21, 2012 at 2:32am

@ Steph - cool! I'll post Monday... Thanks for doing this! btw, did you see my mention of your button designs to Diane? I think we should do those too. Do you have pictures you can send her? If not, I can scan what you sent me. She also wants an "I got trashed at DKult" button - I mentioned that I thought the one w/ the Trashcan on it would be great for that!

Comment by Claire (aka Cleo) on July 21, 2012 at 2:16am

@ Steph, How about I just send you 1 page each [a page will fit about 35 prints on it] of 5 designs [design No. 4 is pretty blah, so we'll X that from the bunch]. I will just chose my fave dsgn. from each and you can choose from them which buttons to make... Could you send me a few of the extras also so I can send to some non- Trashpo member friends? [If you run out of parts, I could always get you more supplies...]

Also: @ Diane: you should tell me what you're faves are, and I will do a page of  each of those also.

That sounds like more than enough!

Neil, Kerouac lost his Columbia football scholarship after he broke his leg. Leaving might not have been completely his choice. Ginsberg, of course, was expelled from Columbia for writing obscenities about the administration on fogged-up windows. Through Burroughs, who had managed to graduate from Harvard and was in NYC, the whole group got involved in stealing cars, fencing stolen property, etc. - which made sensational NY headlines when they were arrested - and the reporters played up the Columbia connection. Basically, they were a thorn in Columbia's side the same way Leary would be at Harvard a bit later. And who did Leary recruit for his early Harvard-funded experiments? Ginsberg, Burroughs, Kerouac....
