The IUOMA is free for all members because of the many sponsors that donate to the IUOMA or because of the IUOMA bookshop that brings in money to keep this platform alive & free.

and when you order a few books, a small fee will be going to the IUOMA and you will get some lovely books on Mail-Art.

On this page I will keep IUOMA members up to date on how the financial situation is for IUOMA on NING. According to the new guidelines by NING the hosting costed 588 USD (=508 Euro at current rates) when paid on a yearly basis.

For 2024-2025 : 508 EURO is brought up by members/sponsors (paid for)

For 2025-2026 : 341 euro needed (167 euros brought up by members/sponsors)

For 2026-2027 : 508 euro needed.

The exchange-rate of USD-EUR might change the numbers a bit. And if NING changes it rates again, the table changes too!

For Paypal donations: IMPORTANT: please use the friends/family option. That means the transaction costs are minimal and Paypal doesn't get a large part of your donation.

Comment by Ruud Janssen on September 3, 2016 at 8:29am: In the previous years I also kept lists of sponsors, I only didn't publish them. So the list of sponsors is quite large. They keep IUOMA alive and free for all. I am now working on the list for the next year. When new donations come in they will fill the list for next year.

Comment by Ruud Janssen on September 3, 2016 at 7:02am: Since the new changes on NING for higher prices, the IUOMA will depend more on donations from members. In this group I will keep all informed. The IUOMA network will stay FREE for all members. The donations are just needed to keep paying the hosting. All other tasks (moderating, mentorship) are on a non-profit basis.

The money will be used to keep the IUOMA-platform alive. Current donations keep platform online till 1-october-2025. If you want to donate to get IUOMA-publications into archives and museums please mention this with your donation. It will then be used to send some hardcopy books into museums and archives.
