I just reorganized my artspace to make more room for more works in progress. 1 Reply

I work on many pieces simultaneously - not just mail art: paper, mixed media, collage, panels- and I had run out of space to place incomplete work as it dries. So I built a storage rack with many shelves, shown here in the back corner. Now my…Continue

Well it was good while it lasted.  This is my 11 day work space in Arles, France (known for where Van Gogh cut his ear off).  I worked mainly on the terrasse with its great view of the 2000 year old Roman arena.  However, some of it is being cleaned at this moment, but the parts that are finished are wonderful.

The big disadvantage of this work space is that I had to clean up before every meal!

The Dutch post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh lived in Arles in 1888-1889 and produced over 300 paintings and drawings during this time.

During my time there, I made 9 mail art pieces and 14 birthday cards.  But you won't find that information on Wikipedia, only here at IUOMA.

Let's see the whole new space Nuno + Nela! Gorgeous prints, very inspiring, I agree.

Hello Cleo, Carina Granlund and vizma bruns. . . thanks for welcoming me to this group and commenting on my photos. I too have always had an interest in artists' studios, the working methods of artists - the material and physicality - and the details of their studios. Strangely, I'm not a big fan of artist bios but I do enjoy visiting where their work was conceived and born - and sometimes buried. vizam, congrats on your keen eyesight, she is the love of my life and I call her: The Studio Cat. I look forward to getting to know and share with other members in this group - must say I'm not all that sure to make this possible.

Wow! A 25 year before and after shot! Love the cat hiding in your studio, Scattergood! Thanks for showing us, but your messy living area looks very neat to me!
