I just reorganized my artspace to make more room for more works in progress. 1 Reply

I work on many pieces simultaneously - not just mail art: paper, mixed media, collage, panels- and I had run out of space to place incomplete work as it dries. So I built a storage rack with many shelves, shown here in the back corner. Now my…Continue

Here's my artspace today, about like it usually looks. Semi-controlled chaos.

Stephanie, love the photos of your space. Not Hi Ng do we have to play 'Spot the Difference" with you photos???  Erica - I feel quite at home looking at yours.  I think tidying up takes too much time - time that can be better spent creating!

I get it Rebecca! There are so many other things I need to do, but here I am looking at Art spaces and getting my MA case ready! Perhaps I should pack?

I love the sketch of the art space!!!! I clicked on it and saw all the great details, the wood grain on the table support, the garden, the door bolt.etc. Really like the lamp too! Great idea, to show an artwork of an art space!!

Love your address book (recording receptacle) I remember making an elaborate address book before I went to Africa with Peace Corps.  It took me so long and my father couldn't understand why I was spending my final hours doing THAT.  I am in the midst of a bunch of unrelated projects and noticed that my studio is approaching unmanageable so thought I'd post.  Bearing in mind that I've 'cleaned up' every night here is some creative chaos.   But the real reason I am posting is to include the first bit of my daughter's homework: art as inspiration.

Ahh, cardboard supports, good idea! Thanks Dean, and maybe I will see you in Paris, stranger things have happened in my travels! But that's for another day...cheers!

Make sure you put your scissors in your suitcase. (I lose a lot of them by trying to carry them on.)  Now I have a very little sewing scissors which seems to be getting on flights OK.  I carry my own cardboard supports; don’t worry about images or materials, those you will find everywhere.  Have a great time, and remember there is always Paris.
