Ooh, crazy Carina! That journal looks delicious! Will you be lending it out, library style? Put me at the top of the list if you do!!!

Thanks all 3 of you for the Iris comments, (Dan, I hadn't thought of Capitalising her!) I had her in a vase and when she wilted, she left a brilliant drip of deep blue/purple on the kitchen table, so I decided to use the natural colour on paper. I haven't ever laminated juicy pressings before, and I don't know how long the stain will last on these, but I'll send some to yous three (look, my English is crazy too!!) and you can experiment further!!

Thanks, Dan!! I'm glad you can't hear me though :D  Ah, couch artists (Marie's funny choice of word) are often hiding the most interest work!

Greetings from Finlandia...

I have heard, but not really tested, that if you laminate these 'squeezings' the colour will stay, worth the experiment don't you think? Whatever, they are rather exquisite Vizma.

Carina,
Maybe you are crazy (good!!!), but there is nothing wrong with your English. Way, way better than my Finnish!

Carina,
My sweetie sits on the couch in the evenings making beautiful, rich, complex drawings in his sketchbooks, and I always ask the same thing: what will he do with them? I finally got him doing some mail art, but I doubt he will ever tear any of those drawings out to use that way. One of his, or Vizma's, sketchbooks would make a wonderful boekie prize in someone's mail box.

Vizma: "Juicy bearded iris squeezings..."
I'll bet that makes Iris happy....

Seriously, now...how long does that color last?

Great work, Vizma! I see them like beautiful winter drawings. What will happen to them?

Here are one crazy spread from my visual journal (yesterday):
