You will need to convert your artspace to a museum. No reason to aim only for Queen title for Canada...you probably already qualify for all N. America!

The Portrait Gallery Project is ongoing mail art call . . 43 countries represented so far . . I keep reaching out to see how many more I can add . . In search of the title of Canada's Portrait and Autograph Queen of Poste . . a few more thousand to add yet . . each day the numbers tend to grow. Will have an exhibition of them in the next year or so . . nearly 200 came in from the Newfoundland Portrait Call . . doig the documentation for that currently . . a mega task with all the other things that are happening. Tomorrow CTV comes to do an interview and take a look at the space . . Always welcome visitors . . so when you come to town let me know.

I remember it well from the early 1960s, when it was principally the Indian pueblo and a small town and art market, probably not terribly different from the days of the artist colony of the 20s and 30s. When I was last there in the late 80s it had become even more of an art mecca than Santa Fe as well as a central place for off-the-grid back-to-earth folks and a burgeoning population of starry-eyed New Agers clutching their channeling crystals. After that, I never really felt a strong drive to go back, although I agree, every artist should consider a visit to Taos if they are able to.
