Comment by Nancy Bell Scott on April 7, 2012 at 5:28pm: Hi Lynn, the SAD irons are used for pressing art that needs it after glueing. One on the main worktable presses corners etc briefly. 3 others are put on top of books where a whole piece is being pressed: A piece, surrounded by waxed paper, goes between pages of an old 5-inch, 2200-page dictionary, on which go my heavy Joseph Cornell book and my thickest Rothko book, and then the SAD irons go on top of all that. Do you use them for your art? I wish I'd saved more from when I had a shop.

Thank you for inviting me to your Group.

This will be a short visit, cos I'm very busy, and I'm afraid I haven't got the time right now to discuss all of this with y'all. So, please excuse me. It has been a pleasure being involved.

In fact I'm just about to leave the Group and post about 25 photos of (choose one):

i) my Artspace

ii) my Art Space

iii) my Study

iv) my Permanent Installation

v) 'Val's junk room at the top of the house where he spends too much time doing who know's what, while Bianca helps him, until the two of therm decide to come out for something to eat and/or drink'.

I wrote an autobiography about my Study a few years ago, describing my life by all the things in the room and all the memories associated with them. If I was clever I could send this to anyone interested on a compact disc or something, but as those of you who know me just a teeny, weeny bit, I'm not clever, so can't do this. (And no thankyou, I don't want any 'it's dead easy to scan/download, etc Val' tutorials, 'cos it ain't ever easy to me).

Perhaps you'll now go and look at the photos.

I hope you enjoy them.
