Yes, that's where I went to, Jimbocho = Kanda Jimbocho = old books district. It's worth going there if you once come to Tokyo.
Thanks!

Marie: If you go to the old book district (in Tokyo Kanda?) 神田 you'll find more vintage Japanese magazines. Osaka has it own old book stores district.

just recycled: vintage magazine ad, price tags (so hard to find these days, what's happening?), japanese woodblock print.

Thanks Mim Golub Scalin for your feedback!

For PJ, I just put paper or little stuff in to shopping plastic bug and zip lock is a good thing to keep stuff.
I am not sure how other countries system for recycling, but in my district Osaka Japan, they separate, can, plastic, paper, and plastic bottle you need to separate top and wrapping paper. Beer they sell more cans than glass now. I think it is just to realize what is junk or garbage or what you can use for art or mail art. I have seen some Japanese artist make sculpture out of tin can. Maybe you can make a box for you to use as a recycle art for your family or friend to put into instead of going straight to trash bin?

Rain Rien Nevermind NEVER had a concept of recycling mailart...as "swapping road kill or FRILLY LACE FROCKART."
The intent of posting " The Ray Johnson Tibet Wheel of the Deadpan Duchamp Eon Spin Club ......soirée I am spoken for. " Was to see if anyone had any Mailart from the 19 Seven Deeze specifically The Japanese School of Nippo-Knees Crossings. While the NEW Kitsch un-SCHOOLs of Exchanging bits of messages found in the gutter with Mass Productable Decal-co-mainia is " tiresomely more so than Tim Porges-ease FRONT PORSCHE. The Sputtering Outness sputs for itself. Wheeeee ! Never joined Ray Johnson's Spit Club for a reason and it didn't involve 3-D.

Rain needs to broaden this recycling mailart concept-you send me your cast-offs, I'll send you mine and we'll make something and post the results. I already send him good garbage anyway. Sorry about recently-the babies are hanging onto their toys and the quality of roadside finds is at an all time low.

Nice piece Tomoe, good re-use of things. Yes, Diana, yes, it just piles up and stares at you, silently, waiting. Periodically, I have to just purge. I usually put things in an envelope and mail them to someone if I can't bear to throw it in the trash bin. Happy recycling!

Dear PJ You know-that stuff piles up fast and everything you don't use stares back at you like a personal failure. Somebody get me outa here!
