Meteor shower!
Friends in the Northwest USA and Canada...now, early morning
before the sun comes up! And anyone in Asia, there it should be great. Also tonight, if skies are clear, there will be some left-over "falling stars"!
Heres the info:
In the United States and Canada, eastern observers will be particularly well-positioned for maximum activity, expected sometime between 3:30 and 5:30 a.m. EST, when the radiant of the Leonid shower will be well up in the dark southeastern sky.
Luckily, the new moon is on November 16, 2009, so the skies "will be dark for catching the fainter meteor streaks."
The Leonid meteors -- dubbed "cosmic garbage" -- are created by minute dust particles shed by the comet Tempel-Tuttle.
................
Let's do some star gazing...sure to see a fallin' star or two or three!

Anyone has clear skies on this November night to see a Full Moon?
Or, someone maybe has a full-moon-over-Athens-Acropolis-postcard
to scan here? Hmmm?
Or, perhaps they can see the full moon in Miami Floridada?
....and we are singing:
"Moon over Miami
Shine on my love and me
So we can stroll beside the roll
Of the rolling sea".....

Oh the bells, bells, bells...
Moon rising, Lorraine,
have a nice weekend!

Wonderful combination Katerina! I am off on a trick or treat weekend so I will make my full moon offering now, a quote from Edgar Allan Poe -
Leaping higher, higher, higher,
With a desperate desire,
And a resolute endeavor,
Now - now to sit or never,
By the side of the pale-faced moon.
Oh, the bells, bells, bells!
What a tale their terror tells
