Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Wow, that's fascinating information, Camel. Congrats and being a recognized artist. You can add that to your resume, for sure.

I've just added an addresses discussion above, so if anyone can be bothered and wants to save people time visiting your profile page, you can post up there (you can see what I think of this idea can't you?)

By the way, your post is (sort of) up on my REAL wall. I kinda forgot to put the contents up, and Elena pointed out your card on the side after I put the rest of the post on the wall. D'oh. Next time!

Hi Mim it's not a definitive list on the side of the blog, the definitive list is at the bottom on the right hand side. The links on the bottom link to your own pages, so you can represent yourselves there. Again, I hope that you guys will look after your own image bits, and if you do want profile pages, just write a blog, tag it "profile" and backdate it, and I'll link to it in the sidebar if you like. I think that yourblogger profiles will probably cover it though.

Obviously there is little point in me writing profiles for you all, as it's a huge workload already and I'd only get it all wrong!

As for the filters in the side, I haven't yet done all the fulters so you'll need to tell me if I've missed anyone out! Nothing personal of course!

If any of you have used Mac, you know how scary the phrase "kernel panic" is. My boyfriend is a Mac wizard so I'm not really scared and we do have Time Machine so everything is backed up. I just hope Greg can diagnose this when he gets home.

Is the definitive list of current participants on that right side column of the MA365 blog? Yes, having a very brief intro, even a name and nom de blog would be friendly.

Hi Keira

I've just seen what you mean about your post thumbnails not showing at all. This is very curious. I'll try and work out if there's anything I can do about it.

As for the relative merits of blogger, this debate could rage on for years (and has in blogging circles) - both wordpress and blogger (and all the other platforms - Tumblr, posterous etc) have pros and cons, but I went for blogger due to my own familiarity with the platform as well as due to the fact that most participants have their own blogger blog, so I figured that most would be more familiar with blogger as a blogging platform.

It's a little late to change now, and I wouldn't much want to, so will try and sort out any glitches I can with what we have. Hope this doesn't spoil the fun, and I promise I'll try to get it working in a way that makes everyone happy

My contribution for today is rather involved and requires photographs instead of scans, so it is taking me a while, but it will be on the blog today. It's one of my favorite works ever. And it will have a longish blog post because I won't be detailing it on my own blog and I want to detail this so I remember what I was thinking when I made it.

Also, I could go on and on about the advantages of Blogger commenting over other blog platforms I've experienced, but I will just leave it at this ... I guess am old school about comments and wanting them instantly. I do have the feed, but it takes forever for them to arrive that way and they don't have any detail, like who made the comment and what post it belongs to, but I'm dealing with it.

I'm not sure why it matters if members have their postal address noted.

Thanks for reminding me to tag with my name. I totally wasn't doing that. Sorry. Camel, I'm so excited about my zombie. Can't wait to welcome him.
