Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

I think you're right, katerina, certain space from the bottom. I printed the country, which is under the label, on the side of the card (which I posted on my page.) I will write in BLACK in BIG LETTERS, I promise, just get my mail where I want it to go! I sent mail to Canada last week. I wonder if the Postal system is overwhelmed by mail now.

You can use those machines to your advantage when messing with the postal service because the machine spits out the card and it has to be inspected by a real eyeball (thereby keeping someone employed ;-)

Happy 4th of July to our USA friends! Enoy the fireworks!

Mim, you might want to use a black permanent marker and PRINT out addresses...those postal/robot machines just have a hard time reading our beautiful vintage penmanship ;-(

The Greek Postal Services put out a flyer informing us to place the address

certain centimeters from the bottom and the right corner of an envelope,

and to write in black...not red, not blue! Sigh, gone are the days of hand sorted mail.

Received a piece from Mim and Spopod. I like them both. Thanks!

My mail to MABB came back as having an unreadable address, not so; and my mail to Konya, Turkey was returned having been seen sent to Kenya. Isn't this just so silly? Stay cool out there.

@Andy, Bummer about the price increase for the PO box!

@Mary Alice, Not a rapper, don't have a rap sheet either, but you may call me

P-lily, if you want.  Some people call me lily, prettylily, sue.  Too bad the PO didn't have the stamps yet.  I just took a chance when I was in and there wasn't anyone in line.  Lucked out I guess!

Have a great holiday weekend everyone!
