Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

And I'm glad I kept the yellow sticker.  If this happens again, I'll go back and raise holy h***.  Nobody's gonna keep my mail art from me!!

So strange.

Here is how the address looked.  Sorry, I put the label in here again & can't get it out.  I think the "yellow sticker culprit" is either a curmudgeon against mail art, or a fellow mail artist, who was just joining in the fun.  If the latter, s/he must remember that it costs another stamp to resend!  Look at the word "Nixie"  on the label - that's pretty neat...

I was at the p.o. today, and asked the clerk why this card from Mim was returned to her.  Clerk took off yellow sticker (but I asked for it back - it's part of the mail art!) and examined my address closely, saw no problems, and shrugged her shoulders.  She's a very helpful clerk - I think she was beleaguered today.

That's a lovely suggestion: air & your touch added. I like that, so minimal& conceptual. Will do that in the future, okay & maybe a rubber stamp.

"What are the senders feelings on this, I wonder, when they never return?"

I've always wondered the same thing. Heh.

Thanks for the offer Michael Orr, I feel the same way as PostMuse. I sometimes find one laying about on my work table and feel oooh do something with this. But I'm not fond of them. What are the senders feelings on this, I wonder, when they never return?

You can mail me any unwanted add and pass's. THanks! :D

I have to agree with PostMuse...I never know what to do with the Add n Pass either....

Very understandable, Postmuse. sometimes the "add n pass" are just in need of a rubber stamp, and lots of postage. I'll do it, and send it on, but I prefer to create a mail art card instead.

And now I am sending out my July mail art from this little seaside village post office, and wondering how mail delivery will be. So far, so good, for my friends in Europe...how about the UK? (which is also "in" Europe, but...)

Elena, anything in your  p.o.box????

And wondering how long other mail art will take to get to the States, So.Africa, Japan, etc.?

Only the mailman knows ;-)
