Hey, it's not the end of the world, he pointlessly mused...

Archie Macleish weighs in....

The End Of The World

Archibald MacLeish

Quite unexpectedly, as Vasserot The armless ambidextrian was lighting
A match between his great and second toe,
And Ralph the lion was engaged in biting
The neck of Madame Sossman while the drum
Pointed, and Teeny was about to cough
In waltz-time swinging Jocko by the thumb—
Quite unexpectedly the top blew off:

And there, there overhead, there, there hung over
Those thousands of white faces, those dazed eyes,
There in the starless dark the poise, the hover,
There with vast wings across the cancelled skies,
There in the sudden blackness the black pall
Of nothing, nothing, nothing—nothing at all.

I dropped something in the mail for the End of the World, and I posted it on my blog with a copy of the call.  http://pjmatilda.blogspot.com

I added a new feature to the right-hand side of the 12-12-12 End of the World Blogspot ... you can sign up for email notifications whenever a new work is posted on the page.  It's for that and only that so your box won't be bombarded with pointless musings about the rapture!

I don't want to ruin the ending for anyone, but I heard it straight from a Mayan's mouth in Chiapas, Mexico earlier this year that the world won't actually be ending on 12-12-12, but there'll be some weird celestial line up of planets and it'll be a new phase, which happens every 26,000 years, give or take a year.

Just a warning not to spend all your money on champagne and caviar...cos that's what I was planning on doing.

Getting busy around here.  Looks like The End of the World will be a big hit.
