IUOMA novel

I am sending a book off and each person that recieves it will add one page to the story then they pass it on to the next person. Once you have sent it on please note so on this group so that the book never goes back to the same person twice.

HOla Alex,

I want to be part of this project, it sounds wonderful!

Yes Alex, will follow these rules. The last pages will be an addresslist where people can tell which page they wrote. We'll have to keep the text consistent. When persons appear they are introduced (Alex already did start that). And before writing one should first read what already has been written. Let's make this a good novel.

Well I would be if I didn't put beef into my Cornish Pasties and Salmon into my Salmon fishcakes Chantal!
Alex, I think it a good idea that you print the instructions and paste the page into the book. As far as I know yours is the first 'novel' I think the idea could really take off in todays communication environment but participants should be informed on what is expected of them.
This weekend I finally finished the CD of my latest audio drama Helgisaga II, it took three years from the writing to CD copying, I am looking forward to putting my fountain pen to work on the mail-art novel.
In one week I begin my five week residency in Venice.

well as im pretty new to mail art i have no experience with this kind of project im sure it has been done many times in the past. yeah if each person posts on here when they have the book that way we know who has done it. so before you send it on just check to see whoever you intend to send it to hasnt already had it. Yeah just carry the story on , kill characters off , make new ones , compleatly change it , just do whatver you want

Alex, in the past projects like this have become lost so may I suggest that you co-ordinate by asking each participant to inform you when and to whom they have sent on the novel.
Another question... or rather an assumption, as this is supposed to be a novel we are to continue the theme/story that preceeds our own contribution? I certainly intend to do this, whosoever precceds me be warned, make it something meaty!

yeah if people write who they send it to each time so no one gets it twice

Does each participant decide on who to send it to next ? I assume there will therefore be an address list attached?

The novel arrived here yesterday. Alex made the start with a first page. I will pass it on to a next person after I am done. Some visuals will follow when I find the time.....
